A glimpse into India's first mission to the moon

This picture of the Indian moon god Chandra was taken from A Glimpse of Chandrayaan-1: India's First Mission to Moon. Chandrayaan-1 was launched successfully by India yesterday. When it reaches the moon's orbit 17 days later, it will take high resolution images of the moon in visible light, near infrared, microwave and X-ray. Watch the launch here. Congrats India!
