Byrson says, "I got this kit to recycle gold. I had no (real) gold, but I had some pocket fluff and a can of gold paint. Not only did they accept the crap I sent, they mailed me a check for the effort." The company, Lippincott specialises in buying and recycling gold, platinum and fine jewelry items. They actually sent him a cheque of $1.10 for his "gold" penny, razor blade, guitar pick, spoon and screw. View his Flickr photoset here.
