The award-winning BBC TV series, Walking with Dinosaurs comes to life in a stunning theatrical event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. I was there yesterday to cover the dress rehearsal few hours before Walking with Dinosaurs open its doors to the public.
And here's a bonus video of me walking back stage at Singapore Indoor Stadium and then to the main stage to come face to face with the 9m long Torosaurus. Very cool! I was told that a team of 3 people is required to operate the dinosaur. There's the driver who sits underneath the dinosaur and 2 Voodoo puppeteers - one operates the head and tail and another guy operates the mouth, eyes and sounds.
You can watch the video of the unloading of the dinosaurs here.
So what do I think of Walking With Dinosaurs? Truthfully, I was expecting a bit more. I'm sure those of you who watched Walking With Dinosaurs, the TV series will agree but still, it is one of THE shows to watch in Singapore this year. So go watch it but don't bother getting the expensive tickets.
