NASA gives away free sounds from historic spaceflights

NASA has released a huge collection of space-related audio files from its Apolllo, Mercury missions and other historic spaceflights and current missions. The files are available for download in both MP3 and M4R (iPhone) sound files. I'm downloading!

Artist makes Tattoo Gun from household objects

Tattoo guns are not cheap so if you can't afford one, why not build one yourself? Inspired by prison tattoo guns, Scott Campbell used a needle, thread, tape, a nine-volt battery and a part from an old tape player to make a tattoo gun. And yes, it really works!

If Han Solo ever needs a soldering gun, then it will definitely look something like Craig Smith's Hans Solderer! He says: "I took my original Star Wars Han Solo pistol and gutted it to hold the soldering gun components. I even ran the lightbulb up into the scope on top. The button on the handle worked well for the trigger switch."

Mammoth is the world's longest water coaster

This looks fun but I think it's going to be scary as hell. The Mammoth when it's launched next year will be the world's longest water coaster. Mammoth will tower seven stories from highest to lowest point and cover more than two acres. Its six-passenger boats are nine feet in diameter and they fly up and down hills in 15-foot-wide slide.

Isabella Loh scared shitless after checking out Night Safari's Halloween Horrors

I found out on The Sunday Times that Isabella "Say No to Devil Worship" Loh, the Director and Group CEO of Wildlife Reserves Singapore, decided to cancel Night Safari's Halloween Horrors after visiting the event. Apparently, she finds it too scary.

This was my immediate reaction on Twitter: "CEO Isabella Loh is upset after visit to Night Safari's Halloween Horrors, says its too scary. Isabella it's Halloween you idiot!"

The sudden cancellation of Halloween Horrors have made many people angry. Seriously Isabella, if you think Halloween Horrors is too scary, wait till you join us in Singapore Haunted. We'll show you what's scary.

Redfoot Dragon made from Lego Bionicle parts

Check out Lego builder Mike Nieves's awesome Redfoot Dragon using Lego Bionicle parts. He says: This was my test of the Hero Factory pieces. I really like the texture they can give to a MOC but they're not easy to use. I connected each armor piece using a ball joint and decimated my supply. I used about 100 in this model."
