Kong Hee gets his own Abba remix and it sounds better than his actual speech

Kong Hee from City Harvest Church asks for Abba, Abba, Abba so I thought let's give him Abba. Parody of Kong Hee's recent speech turned into Abba's song Money, Money, Money. In his speech, he claimed that God had apologised to him. Kong Hee is accused of misappropriating church building funds.

Singapore Mini Maker Faire 2013: Steampunk Spaceship Armada created from plastic bottles

This is the coolest thing I've seen at Singapore Mini Maker Faire 2013. Using discarded plastic bottles, bits of old toys, disassembled computers and other recycled unwanted items, David Liew of the Sleeping Iron foundry has created an armada of steampunk inspired spaceships known as the Bottle Fleet. Each model has been sculpted and painted to the level similar to that of movie production models and miniatures.

Chipmunks perform NDP 2013 theme song One Singapore

One Singapore has to be one of the worst National Day Parade theme songs. Ok, there are a couple of bad ones through the years but this one really bombs. I don't know how a song like that can make the cut. Maybe the writers of the song and the National Day Parade committee have been watching too much Disney channel. So I thought since it's that bad, why not get the Chipmunks to redo the song and hopefully make it better. Alvin, Simon, Theodore, take it away guys!

Sharknado Shark vs Chainsaw scene makes B-grade cinematic history

There are plenty of Shark attack B-grade movies out there but the latest one called Sharknado has to be the greatest shark disaster epic ever made in the history of B-grade cinema. As you can probably tell from the title, the movie is about sharks and tornado. Yup, how creative! It debuted on Syfy and has been getting an insane amount of chatter online especially for its iconic shark vs chainsaw scene which you can watch in the video above again and again and again. Chainsaw 1 Shark 0.

Behind the scenes of The Lone Ranger and movie review

Watch this 19 mins long behind the scenes footage of The Lone Ranger starring Armie Hammer as John Reid/The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Native American warrior Tonto. In the movie, Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice. The Lone Ranger is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films and directed by Gore Verbinski.

I had a chance to watch the movie at a media screening held by Disney. Unlike some of the movie critics out there, I actually loved The Lone Ranger! Johnny Depp is at his usual "Captain Jack Sparrow" best. I said that because there were times when watching his character Tonto, it did remind me a bit of Jack Sparrow which is a good thing. Armie Hammer who played the twins in the Social Network, is perfect as The Lone Ranger. He and Johnny have very good on-screen chemistry and it's so enjoyable watching both of them together. The film has a lot of funny moments - there were lots of laughter in the cinema - and really good action scenes. If you're like me who hates those western cowboy type movies, The Lone Ranger will surprise you. I give the movie 3 1/2 out of 5 Crow Feathers.

The free feather pen given to all the guests at the Disney media screening of The Lone Ranger. I think the feather must have come from Tonto's dead crow that he wears on his head.
