Scavenging for Charcoal Fuel in the Rubbish of Manila
The plight of charcoal scavengers in the Philippines is captured by award winning documentary photographer Lisa Wiltse for National Geographic. These poor people make a living by making charcoal from wood scavenged from nearby garbage dumps and construction sites.
