Anatomical Cross-Sections in Paper
This midsagittal section of the head and chest is created by Lisa Nilsson as part of her Tissue Series which are anatomical cross-sections in paper. The pieces are made of Japanese mulberry paper and the gilded edges of old books. They are constructed by a technique of rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper.
