Behind the scenes of The Lone Ranger and movie review
Watch this 19 mins long behind the scenes footage of The Lone Ranger starring Armie Hammer as John Reid/The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Native American warrior Tonto. In the movie, Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice. The Lone Ranger is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films and directed by Gore Verbinski.
I had a chance to watch the movie at a media screening held by Disney. Unlike some of the movie critics out there, I actually loved The Lone Ranger! Johnny Depp is at his usual "Captain Jack Sparrow" best. I said that because there were times when watching his character Tonto, it did remind me a bit of Jack Sparrow which is a good thing. Armie Hammer who played the twins in the Social Network, is perfect as The Lone Ranger. He and Johnny have very good on-screen chemistry and it's so enjoyable watching both of them together. The film has a lot of funny moments - there were lots of laughter in the cinema - and really good action scenes. If you're like me who hates those western cowboy type movies, The Lone Ranger will surprise you. I give the movie 3 1/2 out of 5 Crow Feathers.
The free feather pen given to all the guests at the Disney media screening of The Lone Ranger. I think the feather must have come from Tonto's dead crow that he wears on his head.
