Takeo's Toy Box
Born in 1894, Takeo Takei later became one of the leading illustrators for children's publications in Japan. Together with other illustrators, he formed the Japan Association of Illustration for Children, as part of the effort to achieve artistic quality in illustrations for children. Here are the illustrations from his 1927 children's book, The Toy Box.
