Steampunk Darth Vader Mask and Chest Plate

Dude is selling a steampunk Darth Vader mask and chest plate on eBay. He modified a normal Darth Vader mask bought in Disney World by carving out details to make it look brass-like and adding several tacks to simulate rivets. He then added a WWI style helmet spike which is actually a ceiling fan pull chain. The chest plate was made from a shadow box frame and a bunch of cannibalized clock, and other device parts.

Dude has a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends episodes in Japanese on his YouTube channel. Go watch them all. I remember reading Thomas storybooks when I was young and I love him to bits!

Spike's Star Wars ad campaign

Several pics of the outdoor ads for Spike TV's Star Wars promotion in the US. More here. I thought this one is really funny. So that's why Annie turned to the dark side. Spike is showing all six Star Wars episodes in chronological order starting this Friday.

10 Downing Street goes Web 2.0

If you think only kids and geeks use Twitter, then think again. The office of the British Prime Minister is also twittering! No it's not an April Fool's Day joke. From Downing Street:

And they are asking for suggestions on how they should use their Twitter. From Downing Street:

Hmm, how about getting Gordon Brown himself to use it and let the world know what he is doing? I know he is a very busy man but he could be the first PM in the world to use Twitter. Imagine him putting on his suit to get ready for an important meeting with a foreign head of state and one hand twittering on his mobile: "Damn I'm late. Again. Suit getting a bit too tight for me. Need to lose weight." LOL. That would be something aye.

Besides being on Twitter, the British Prime Minister's office also has a Flickr account! Looks like everyone is going Web 2.0 these days.

Exclusive: Singtel WILL launch iPhones on 08.08.2008

I've received several scoops from an insider working in Singtel about the firm's iPhone rumours. The iPhone is REALLY coming to Singapore but not in September.

This screenshot of Singtel's iPhone teaser website which is now under construction according to him, shows the date of the iPhone launch in Singapore!

My source also told me that Singtel will offer the 8GB and new 16 GB iPhone models - both are 3G enabled! He said that they are still working out the pricing details.

And check this out, on the launch day itself, Singtel will be giving away 88 iPhones FREE at one of their hello! shops starting from 8.08 am. Expect a long queue when that happens.
