Early 20th century Japanese book and magazine covers

Will from A Journey Round My Skull, has scanned and posted these extraordinary book and magazine covers from Japan published in the early 20th century. I like this 1940 magazine cover that shows a lady putting on a gas mask for her man.

Laptop case doubles up as a workstation

I think Openaire is a brilliant concept! It is a hybrid of a laptop carrying case, work surface and chair. Its protective sleeve becomes an ergonomic laptop work surface and the protective shell functions as a comfortable seat.

Jamie Yeo learned how to use her fingers when she was 6!

jamie

Jamie Yeo, the "multi-talented" Singapore TV host, model and actress, recently revealed that she learned how to please herself at a very tender age of 6 and the first time she had sex, she was 18 and her sister was sleeping above her on the upper bunk bed! How memorable. From Nanyang 100:
“The first time I had sex. It was uneventful, done hastily in my bed with my sister sleeping above me on the upper bunk bed. I was 18 and scared that it was gonna hurt. I was also really scared my parents or worse my sister would wake up and catch me with my pants down. They didn't. Phew..."
The very public disclosure has made some parents upset. They are saying that she's a bad example to today's youth. So what if Jamie discovered how to make better use of her fingers when she was 6? No big deal, man! Look, I first DIY'ed when I was 4! My first shag was when I turned 13! And guess what? My parents were sleeping below me on the lower bunk bed. Not sure what they were doing but yeah, beat that Jamie!

Needle-felted Transformers are as cool as the plastic toys

GlassCamel's needle-felted Transformers are sewn together with heavy-duty thread and wire. They can't transform like their plastic toy cousins but they are posable! So far, she has made Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and Jazz. I hope she's working on Megatron now.

The X-Men Universe mind boggling relationship chart

I just realised after looking at this X-Men Universe Relationship Chart that our dear Wolverine is such a slut! How many women does he want to screw? And with all the relationship that is going on between the characters in the X-Men universe, where did they find the time to fight their enemies?

Neill's A-Z of Awesomeness

Comic artist Neill Cameron asks readers on his blog to participate in his cool project, A-Z of Awesomeness. For each letter of the alphabet, his readers suggest a character and he will then draw that character on a daily basis. As of today, he is at the letter Q!

The last stand at Zion in Lego

Legohaulic has recreated the last stand at Zion scene from The Matrix Revolutions movie. In the epic scene, the evil Sentinels battled it out with the good guys and their Armored Personal Units. He says, "Pictures just don't do this justice, it was made to be seen in person."

Michael Jackson by all the top cartoonists

How do top cartoonists mourn the death of Michael Jackson? They draw him, of course! I like this one by Justin Bilicki of New York. His cartoon of MJ's tombstone is spot on! The Michael Jackson I love, died way back in 1993.

Flesh Dolls are not for the faint hearted

Here's a one-of-a-kind Flickr photoset of meat puppets made with stuffed taxidermy skin. The set contains 81 disgusting and terrifying photos that will make you wish you hadn't clicked on the link in the first place.
