Exploring the waterways of Venice on a gondola
Just a quick video of me testing the Panasonic GH5 camera in low light while exploring the waterways of Venice on a gondola. Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated across a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by bridges. With a rich history stretching back to Roman times, the city of London is an architectural gold mine with iconic landmarks such as the Tower Bridge, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. 2017 FilmConvert Film Competition: Kung Fu Journey
My documentary directorial debut film Kung Fu Journey has been selected in this year's FilmConvert Color Up Film Competition under the Documentary category.
Kung Fu Journey tells the story of a Kung Fu Master in Beijing who travels back to the legendary Shaolin Temple and to Tagou Martial Arts School, one of the largest martial arts school in China, with his young Kung Fu students to further their training and deepen their knowledge of Chinese martial arts. It was directed, shot and edited by me.
The Documentary category will be judged by one of my favourite filmmakers Philip Bloom. Stoked to have him judge my doc! You can also vote for Kung Fu Journey in the People's Choice Award. All you need to vote is a Facebook account.

The Summer Palace, Beijing
The Summer Palace, Beijing. Shot and edited by yours truly. First built in 1153 by the Jin dynasty ruler, Wanyan Liang, the Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in the northwest of Beijing, China. UNESCO calls the Summer Palace which is a World Heritage Site: "A masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value". 2 people in Japan did a Tyranitar raid and this is what happened
Having participated in 4 Tyranitar raids on Pokemon Go and failed in catching the Tyranitar in each of my attempts, I can tell you that what these two people accomplished is unbelievable. My raids involved at least 10 other Pokemon Go trainers. With that many trainers, taking down the Tyranitar Raid Boss is easy but catching it is almost impossible. This guy in the video caught the Tyranitar with only his first throw which is one great Curveball and a Pinap Berry!
Update: Surprise, surprise! Just caught Tyranitar in my 5th attempt at a Tyranitar raid. There were 15 of us at the raid so beating Tyranitar is easy with the numbers we had. After the raid, I threw 4 balls with a combination of the different types of berries I had, before I finally caught the damn mon. And now I even have enough candies to evolve my Pupitar into another Tyranitar. What a good day!

My favourite cartoon of all time! I've watched every episode. Bought all the toys. Go watch 3 hours of He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe and you'll have the power too!
He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe takes place on the fictional planet of Eternia, a planet of magic, myth and fantasy. Its lead character is Prince Adam, the young son of Eternia's rulers, King Randor and Queen Marlena. Whenever Prince Adam holds the Sword of Power aloft and proclaims "By the Power of Grayskull!" he is endowed with "fabulous secret powers" and transformed into He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
Together with his close allies, Battle Cat (who undergoes a similar transformation from being Adam's cowardly pet tiger Cringer), The Sorceress, Teela, Man-At-Arms and Orko, He-Man uses his powers to defend Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor. Skeletor's main goal is to conquer the mysterious fortress of Castle Grayskull, from which He-Man draws his powers. If successful, Skeletor would have enough power to rule Eternia and possibly the entire universe.

Here's an inside look at the work that goes into creating a new loading screen for Pokemon Go. From the Pokemon Go blog: "When designing a loading screen, the team starts by discussing what the most appropriate Pokémon to feature is based on surrounding events and the latest product release. In the case of the Steelix loading screen, we knew we wanted to celebrate the recent introduction of Pokémon originally from the Johto region to Pokémon GO. We wanted to create a throwback to the original Gyarados loading screen by using an epic Johto region Pokémon with a similar shape and size, and Steelix was the best fit. After choosing the most appropriate Pokémon to feature, it was then time to begin drafting concepts! We spent some time looking at references in various art books, online, and in nature for compelling compositions, lighting, and interesting color schemes."
How they shot Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch
The new season of Deadliest Catch was shot using Red, Sony A7s, Canon C100 and Canon C300 MKII cameras. They also used the DJI M600 drone. The award winning Discovery Channel series tells the story of the crew of fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab, snow crab and bairdi crab fishing seasons.

I had a chance to fly above Dubai's The World Islands, an artificial archipelago created to resemble a map of the world. Weathering, sinking and erosion have made the The World Islands into a world that doesn't look like the world we know.
Pokemon Go Raid Battles now Live in Singapore and worldwide
Pokemon Go's new Raid Battles are now live! You'll need a Raid Pass which you can get by spinning a photo disc at a gym or you can buy a Premium Raid Pass from the Pokemon Go Shop which costs 100 coins. If you defeat the Raid Boss at the Gym where the Raid Battle is being held, you’ll earn special items and a chance at catching the Raid Boss.
From the Official Pokemon Go website: "You’ll receive a notification of Raid Battles happening nearby. You can also use the Nearby feature to locate raids happening around you. Don't worry if you miss a chance to join a Raid Battle as they happen frequently. Before the raid begins, a Raid Egg will appear on top of the Gym. A countdown will display the time until the Egg hatches and the battle begins."
The Beaches and White Sand Dunes of Mui Ne, Vietnam
New video is out! This time we brought our cameras and drone to beautiful Mui Ne in Vietnam, home to the stunning Sahara-like White Sand Dunes and nice beaches! Aerial cinematography by yours truly.
Mui Ne is a beach resort town in Southeast Vietnam and a popular weekend getaway from Ho Chi Minh City. Mui Ne has two beaches with a number of resorts, shops and restaurants. One of the popular attractions in Mui Ne is the White Sand Dunes. They extend up to 20 kilometers along the coast. Located next to the White Sand Dunes is a beautiful lake known as the Lotus Lake.

Drone Heaven! Inside the DJI Flagship Store in Hong Kong
Take a look inside the DJI Hong Kong Flagship Store, located in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island. The 10,000 square-feet store features DJI’s full range of consumer and enterprise products, flying areas and experience zones.
The ground floor displays the hand held Osmo gimbals, the Phantom 4 and Inspire drones and accessories.
On the 2nd floor, you can find DJI’s industrial series of drones and gimbals, including the Matrice 600. There's also a gallery of images taken shot by DJI users.

Beijing and parts of northern China were hit with a hazardous sandstorm on May 4 2017 with the air quality index exceeding 900 AQI! The sandstorm was thought to have originated in the southern Gobi desert.

Here's how I tweaked my Tottenham Hotspur 3-4-2-1 formation and tactics in Football Manager 2017 and went on to win the Premier League title and more!
I went with Kane on top as the Complete Forward supported by Eriksen and Son behind him in the Attacking Midfielder roles. Lamela and Rose are the Wide Midfielders, Dier the Ball Winning Midfielder beside Dembele the Box to Box Midfielder. The back three is Wimmer on, Vertonghen and Walker. And lastly Lloris as the Goalkeeper.
Also, a bonus match using the same tactics vs Man City. Enjoy!
