Launch of Noise Singapore Festival Showcase
I've just uploaded all the photos taken at the launch of Noise Singapore Festival Showcase held on Thursday at Far East Plaza. You can view all 52 photos here or via the slideshow.
Noise Singapore is an annual festival by the National Arts Council giving young artists here a platform to showcase their works. This year, nearly 2000 young talents uploaded some 11,000 works of art, design, music and photography to the festival.
1,700 of these works have been carefully selected by a curatorial team comprising of 16 professionals in their respective fields, such as Rai (of the popular music duo Jack and Rai), famed photojournalist Bryan Van Der Beek, and The Straits Times music writer Eddino Abdul Hadi and are currently featured at the showcase exhibition at LevelOne@Far East Plaza until 29 March 2009.
Besides the works on display at the showcase, there will also be a three-night concert at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre on 6 – 8 March 2009 and a weekend platform at *scape on 21 & 22 March where the Noise Singapore aspiring musicians get to perform alongside established bands from the region. So if you're interested to see how creative and talented our youths are, do check out the festival showcase and the night concert this weekend!
