Good news, Singapore! Mas Selamat has been captured by our friends in Malaysia. According to earliest reports, he was in Johor all along (I thought he was hiding in Indonesia) and was caught on April 1. They did not announce it on that day of course - the day being April Fool's Day and no one would have believed them - but it is strange that they took so long to announce his capture.
I guess the Malaysians want to squeeze every single info out off Mas Selamat before releasing him back to Singapore. I can see them forcing him to teach them his now legendary toilet escape trick. Or maybe they want to keep him in Malaysia instead of repatriating him since we had already let him escape once: "Those Singaporeans cannot be trusted to keep a dangerous man behind bars. We better keep him here. Malaysia boleh!"
You know what would be really funny? If he was caught while shitting in toilet! Anyway, for all his jail breaking skills, Mas Selamat is sure damn lousy at evading arrest. This is his third arrest already. What's the use of having the ability to escape via the toilet or walking into walls when you get caught time and time again?
Update: After a few days from his escape in Singapore, Mas Selamat managed to get into Malaysia by swimming the Straits of Johor on an improvised flotation device. While in Malaysia, he was planning a lot of things against Singapore.
