Stephen Hawking "gives" lecture at the Origins Symposium



Acclaimed physicist Stephen Hawking recorded a special lecture which was delivered by his daughter Lucy for the ASU Origins Symposium on April 6. Hawking recorded the lecture as he was not able to attend due to illness. Watch his lecture above.

The Origins Symposium is an unprecedented event, bringing together 70 of the world’s leading scientists and scholars, including 8 Nobel Laureates, and the world’s pre-eminent scientific public intellectuals, for three days of panels directed at exploring important outstanding research questions such as how did the universe begin? how did life begin? is there intelligent life beyond Earth and are we alone in the cosmos?
