The New York Times has a
nice illustration on how the periodic table is slowly evolving into the periodic spiral, a new design that remedies the flaws in conventional periodic tables by illustrating hydrogen's ambiguous relationship to the noble gases and halogens while recognizing its relationship to the alkali metals. The periodic spiral also fully integrates the lanthanons and actinons into the design. I blogged about the
Interactive Periodic Table earlier this month and said that it is by far the best periodic table on the web. I have to take it back because I just found one better.
This is the best!
