Mumbai Attacks: Singaporean hostage found dead in Oberoi Hotel

twitter

The is the news that everyone in Singapore has been dreading ever since we found out that a Singaporean was among the hostages in Mumbai. The hostage, 28-year-old lawyer Ms Lo Hoei Yen, has been found dead in Oberoi Hotel. Those bastards!!! My heart goes out to Ms Lo's family. It's a terrible tragedy. You can follow #Mumbai on Twitter or BBC for live updates and also check out Wikipedia's Mumbai attacks page for more info.

Update: It is highly probable that the terrorists killed Ms Lo because the Indian army stormed the Oberoi Hotel. Earlier, the terrorists had demanded that the Indian authorities refrain from storming the Oberoi Hotel, otherwise they would harm her.

Update: Facebook has a memorial tribute page for Ms Lo Hoei Yen.

I wonder why do they want to kill Singaporeans? Aren't they out to target Americans and British tourists?

people! stop going to mumbai or anywhere in india. the country isn't safe! the indian authorities aren't able to protect their own people. tourists will only endanger the lives by visiting that country.

I hope those fuckers who did this will die and rot in hell.

The terrorists are doing this to stall the India - Pakistan peace process.

look. the operation has been so slow because we are talking about the lives of the hostages there. our military are doing their best. yes, they could have done more to prevent this but how do you really stop someone who is crazed enough to kill people???

Some Countries should look seriously into birth control!!! I see that countries with huge population without a better life are having their people turn into DEVILS since their life are not worth anything and can go around killing and getting killed... stupid ass!!!

While Singapore government is against terrorism like most countries, it is not wise to openly associate herself with US/Israel or as their ally. US has her own agenda to deal with all these people, and Singapore should not get involved in their dealings. The Singaporeans are now not safe as far as being a target of terrorism is concerned.
