“For patients with psychological concern about the size of the penis -- particularly if it is normal size -- there is little point in offering them surgery because it makes no difference,” said Nim Christopher, a urologist at St Peter’s Andrology Center in London.(Thanks Mr Big)
Christopher and his colleagues, who questioned 42 men who had the surgery, found the dissatisfaction rate was very high. Often the men requested another surgical procedure.

Penis enlargement surgery is of no help
Doctors say that men who are dissatisfied with the size of their penis should not go for a penis enlargement surgery. Instead, the better solution is psychological counseling. From MSNBC:

Is there a limit on how much longer can one make his penis size grow to with the help of penis surgery?
I duno Shy. I dun think its the same as u ladies going for breast enlargement. u can make urs as big as u want.

For penis enlargement surgery, one can't do too long. I think the penis cannot have a nice erection angle and it will look like its dangling.

The side effects of this penis lengthening surgery stem from the fact that with the suspensory ligament no longer anchored to the pubic bone, the penis is effectively “floating loose”. If the penis is flaccid this will not cause any problems but if the penis is erect then several problems may occur. Floating loose from the pubic bone, the erect penis can slip and shift around during sex. And without the suspensory ligament to hold it, erections can point downwards. Nowadays, more sophisticated surgical techniques mean that this can be minimized but the angle of erection is still likely to be reduced no matter how the surgery is carried out.
I wonder if the same could be said for breast augmentation surgery... haha!
