After the match, local Radio deejays Mark and Brian Richmond took us on a tour down memory lane as we listened to the past history of the National Stadium, the crowning moments, the histories made there. Kit Chan also came on for a song and finally, President S R Nathan officially declared the closure of the National Stadium. It was a poignant moment and soon, there were fireworks. My only complain is the fireworks were a bit too short. Guess the budget is very much lesser than that for the National Day Parade!
