Goodbye National Stadium

Ryan was one of the 45 000 people that attended the National Stadium's closing ceremony yesterday. The stadium will be demolished to make way for the new Sports Hub. He has a review of the closing ceremony in his blog:

After the match, local Radio deejays Mark and Brian Richmond took us on a tour down memory lane as we listened to the past history of the National Stadium, the crowning moments, the histories made there. Kit Chan also came on for a song and finally, President S R Nathan officially declared the closure of the National Stadium. It was a poignant moment and soon, there were fireworks. My only complain is the fireworks were a bit too short. Guess the budget is very much lesser than that for the National Day Parade!
