The folks at NASA spend billions of dollars to send men to space but they can't even make sure that the name of their Space Shuttle is spelled correctly. It's Endeavour not Endeavor, NASA! Before and after pics here.

I think that was the American English spelling of the word.

isn't endeavor just the american spelling?
Endeavor is an American spelling but the shuttle was named "Endeavour" after the first ship that was commanded by 18th century British explorer James Cook.
