Dude (no that's not him in the picture!) documents his astronomy observations in his blog, NightEvents. You can read about the equipment he uses, how he took videos and pics of meteors, comets, etc. In his latest post, he managed to capture Comet Holmes using a CCD and a huge telephoto lens. I've always been impressed by amateur astronomers here because they have to continually "fight" Singapore's light pollution and lousy weather just to enjoy the beautiful heavens.
