An industrial design student in Australia has designed a light and inexpensive disposable digital camera that can be sent via the mail like a postcard. Take photos like a normal camera and once it is full, stick a stamp on it, write down the address of the person you want to send it to and put it in the postbox. Click here for the Snap + Send Postcard and here for my friend, Bohemian Philosophy's entry on it.

There are still people sending postcards nowadays?
This may be sad but true. I collect postcards and send out occasionally one or two to people.
Shy: You r too high tech. Only send online postcards. Hahaha!!!
Cool. When is it out?
Dun think its out yet. I think the designer is looking for companies that might be interested to buy his invention. I wonder if the cam-postcard wld be damaged by the time it reaches the recipient.
Myra Leong: Save the trees. The last poscard I sent was three years ago.
I collect postcards but they aren't for sending out to friends, etc but for decorating my wardrobe.
Interesting design but it wouldn't sell.
Let's say this product takes roughly three years or so to reach the market. By then everyone will have their own digital camera and camera phones.
